Derrick Gibson is a true conservative with a value system that aligns with many New Yorkers. He is a Republican candidate for New York State Governor and the first to officially announce and challenge Governor Kathy Hochul. Gibson has been appearing at rallies, events and in the media calling out Kathy Hochul for her tyrannical behavior and poor response to the lawfare taking place in our state. He was on the front line for President Donald Trump fighting to get him reelected. Gibson has the support of many groups including moderate Democrats, city residents and independent voters. He works hard at signing up unregistered votes in the inner city as a Republican.

Many believe that with the right support, Gibson has the highest chance of any Republican to be victorious in a blue state. Derrick Gibson believes in putting New Yorkers first and restoring New York to its former greatness. He is a true Constitutionalist and believes in upholding the Constitutional Rights of all New Yorkers- that includes religious liberty, free speech, 2nd Amendment rights and medical freedom. Gibson will fight for small and local business and support law enforcement alongside reform that makes sense. He will work hard at reforming education and school choice and will champion fair elections in the state of New York.

Mr. Gibson believes that exceptional personal integrity is the backbone of any political campaign and that must start with the candidate. He believes that the decline of New York State is unacceptable. He will fight to uphold the Constitution of the United States as it applies to New Yorkers. He has expressed that Political Correctness has been the start of the decline of America and that speaking to voters freely and transparently is the only way to win this election. Lastly, Gibson knows his status as a political outsider and everyday man will appeal greatly to the people of New York State- who no longer trust politicians and are looking for someone completely different to vote for. Gibson is a current resident of Forest Hills in Queens, New York. He rides the train regularly, where he comes into contact with New Yorkers and speaks to real people every day about their concerns for the State. If asked why he is running for Governor, Gibson says his upbringing is the answer. He was raised by a strong Christian mother who taught all seven of her children the difference between right and wrong. Born in NYC, but raised in Georgia, Gibson became well versed in everything that had to do with survival. He learned how to fish, hunt, grow a garden and conduct himself like a gentleman. In high school, Gibson became interested in the industrial arts and auto mechanics. He landed a scholarship to South Georgia Technology College in Americus Georgia, he’s also became a helicopter and small plane pilot. Gibson had a chance to meet former President Jimmy Carter, Israel Prime Minister Begin and Egyptian President Anwar Sadat which really moved him to get involved.
